Club Days

Our regular Club Days are the backbone of our Club.  Members are welcome to come along with their horse, or as a spectator, and enjoy riding in one of our two all weather arenas.  We have many qualified and experienced United Kingdom Coaching Certificate (UKCC) coaches on hand to offer free coaching to those who want it.

Our Head Coach Pauline Brimson has the accolade of having achieved a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Coaching as well as her UK Coaching Certificate (UKCC) Level 4 qualification. There are only four equestrian Level 4 coaches in the country and this is the highest coaching qualification available within sport. She is also the Coaching Development Officer representing western riding at the British Equestrian Federation, so you will be benefiting from the latest and most effective coaching and advice.

At just £10 for riders or £2 for spectators per day, our Club Days are an affordable and enjoyable way of learning more about western riding and a great social opportunity to meet with other western riding enthusiasts.

Chat & Ride Days - Every Friday

We hold weekly chat & ride days normally on a weekday (normally Thursdays or Fridays).  They start at 11am-1pm and cost £20 per rider - there's time for a chat and then we ride ... past topics covered include working on patterns for our shows, jog over/lope over poles/trail gate practice, presentation on and discussion on engagement and collection before going into the arena to work on turn on the haunches.

Fun Shows

Fallowbrook holds several Fun Shows throughout the year.  Bodiam International Arena has become our favourite venue for these events and the superb indoor arena and onsite catering means that we can relax and enjoy the day without fear of the weather!

The classes are a mix of traditional western performance classes such as trail, pleasure and horsemanship plus a bit of fun and games in the shape of themed fancy dress and team races.  No-one is left out!  Check our Gallery for photos of our previous shows to get a flavour of the day!

Clinics

Top of the list on Fallowbrook’s mission statement is to provide the opportunity to access high quality, affordable western coaching and training. Help with your riding is always available at club days and is FREE.

Additionally, we try to organise as many clinics as possible with well known UK trainers as well as bringing internationally recognised trainers from Europe (short video clip of Martin Otremba opposite). As we are a non-profit making club, this is where all your ‘Club Day Contributions’ go. Trying to keep things ‘affordable’ in this day and age is the key to helping riders progress without breaking the bank.
